Photovoltaic generation, energy management system (EMS) and electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE)

The course aims to explain the context in which a renewable power plant produces electrical energy, giving the constraints that the power plant has to respect concerning the surrounding environment. Firstly, after a brief recap on photovoltaic generation, it is explained how a power plant is connected to the grid and, more in-depth, the case in which the photovoltaic power plant is tied to the electric grid using an interlinked electrical storage system. Secondly, it is explained how do electric vehicle charging stations operate, giving examples of necessities, constraints, and equipment. Lastly, it is analyzed the relationship between the producer and the user, studying challenges, possibilities, and possible practices.
